Short Story Using Five Random Words!

So a while ago I tried practicing my writing by using a website to randomly generate five words, which I would then need to use to write a short story. These ended up being: bowyer, frigid, bigwig, six and bashed. Below you can read the outcome... I'm sorry!

Bashing postmen

The bowyer awoke one frigid morning with a feeling of worry in his empty stomach. He looked out of the window to see that the land surrounding his cottage and work shed was covered in frost, and that the sheep on a nearby farm were huddled together to keep warm. As the young man waited for his porridge to warm up, he took another look at the letter sitting his table. He had received a request from a bigwig from some company or other, asking that he make eight bows before the fifth of September. He had grudgingly accepted. Now he realised that was a mistake. Today was the fifth and he had only managed to produce six bows. The bowyer had never met his latest client in person, but had heard some terrible rumours, about how the man wasn’t entirely human and would bite of the head of anyone who disappointed him. As you can see, the bowyer was an extremely gullible young man, and took some phrases far too literally. 

Trying to think of an escape plan, the bowyer sat down to eat his breakfast, but was shortly interrupted by a knock on the door. He froze. He didn’t want some bigwig eating his head. He liked his head. There was another knock, more impatient than the last. The bowyer, carefully picked up the saucepan he had used to make his breakfast and tiptoed towards the door. He waited, took a deep breath, then, in a flash, flung the door open, bashed the man outside over the head with the saucepan and made a run for it. In his haste, however he tripped over the other man’s bag, and fell to the floor in a pile of letters and parcels, with the postman lying unconscious next to him.
